Intended Use

Summary
CRP is a typical acute phase protein. It is synthesized by the liver and the epithelial cell in response to infections or tissue damages, and the synthesis is triggered by interleukin-6 (IL-6) and other cytokines produced by macrophages and other white blood cells which are activated in these conditions. In clinical, CRP is mainly used for auxiliary diagnosis of infections, tissue injuries and inflammatory diseases. The C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Test Cassette utilizes a combination of colloidal gold conjugate and CRP antibody to selectively detect total CRP in whole blood, serum or plasma.The cutoff of the test is 5mg/L.
