Testsealabs C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Test Cassette
C-Reactive Protein (CRP)
CRP is a typical acute-phase protein. It is synthesized by liver cells and epithelial cells in response to infections or tissue damage. Its synthesis is triggered by interleukin-6 (IL-6) and other cytokines, which are produced by macrophages and other white blood cells activated under these conditions.
In clinical practice, CRP is mainly used as an auxiliary diagnostic marker for infections, tissue injuries, and inflammatory diseases.
C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Test Cassette
The C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Test Cassette utilizes a combination of colloidal gold conjugate and CRP antibody to selectively detect total CRP in whole blood, serum, or plasma. The cutoff value of the test is 5 mg/L.
