Summary

Fecal occult blood and transferrin test is a traditional routine test item, which is of great value in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal bleeding diseases, and is often used as a screening indicator for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal malignant tumors in the population (especially the middle-aged and the elderly). In recent years, fecal occult blood test has attracted more and more attention and has been widely used in health check-up or epidemiological investigation. According to literature reports, the fecal occult blood monoclonal antibody method (referred to as the monoclonal antibody method) compared with the traditional chemical method, the monoclonal antibody method has high sensitivity, strong specificity, and is not affected by diet and certain drugs, and has been widely used. However, sometimes clinical feedback patients have signs of gastrointestinal bleeding, while the fecal occult blood test is negative, which is difficult to interpret. According to foreign literature reports, the detection of transferrin (TF) in feces, especially the simultaneous detection of hemoglobin (Hb), has significantly improved the positive detection rate of gastrointestinal bleeding diseases
