Testsealabs Occult Blood (Hb/TF) Combo Test Kit
Fecal occult blood and transferrin tests are traditional routine items that hold great value in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal bleeding diseases. They are often used as screening indicators for diagnosing gastrointestinal malignant tumors in the population, especially among middle-aged and elderly individuals.
In recent years, fecal occult blood tests have attracted increasing attention and been widely applied in health check-ups or epidemiological investigations. According to literature reports, compared with the traditional chemical method, the fecal occult blood monoclonal antibody method (referred to as the monoclonal antibody method) features high sensitivity, strong specificity, and freedom from interference by diet and certain drugs, thus gaining widespread use.
However, there are cases where clinical feedback indicates patients show signs of gastrointestinal bleeding, yet the fecal occult blood test yields negative results, making interpretation challenging. According to foreign literature reports, the detection of transferrin (TF) in feces, particularly the simultaneous detection of hemoglobin (Hb), has significantly improved the positive detection rate of gastrointestinal bleeding diseases.
