Intended Use
The Rubella Virus Ab IgG/IgM Test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of antibody (IgG and IgM)to rubella virus in whole blood/serum/plasma to aid in the diagnosis of RV infection.
Summary
Rubella is an acute respiratory infection caused by rubella virus(RV), including congenital infection and acquired infection. It is clinically characterized by short prodromal period, low fever, rash, and retroauricular and occipital lymph node enlargement. Generally, the disease is mild and the course of disease is short, but rubella is very easy to cause outbreaks of infection and can occur all year round.
