Summary

observe the presence of antibody to the virus by an EIA method or to observe the presence of antigen to the virus by a PCR method followed by confirmation with western blot. The HIV Ag/Ab Test is a simple, visual qualitative test that detects antigen or antibody in human whole blood/serum/plasma. The test is based on immunochromatography and can give a result within 15 minutes.
